PS3
How to transfer a game save to your PS3 from the Internet
This is quite simple once you know how to do
it.
What you will need
A downloaded game save
External
memory such as an external hard drive, flash drive or even an ipod will
do!
1. I take it you have the
game save downloaded? that's good. Before we do anything
we must prepare the
file structure on your chosen device. Basically what this means is
that the
PS3 must be able to read the data on your device so transfer can
happen.
2. First make sure your memory stick or hard drive is in FAT32
format, it probably is
anyway. If not format it to FAT32, just make sure
you back up your data.
3. Next we have to make the file structure so that
the PS3 can recognize where the game
save is. To do this we have to make a
folder on the memory stick/hard drive called 'PS3'.
4. Inside the 'PS3'
folder we have make another folder called 'SAVEDATA' and then what
you do is
copy the game save into that folder and the way you go. Just make sure you
don't
put the .zip files in there as the PS3 won't be able to read
it.
5. After you have done that insert the device into the PS3 and then
go to 'Game', then
'Saved Data Utiity', select your device and then copy it
over to your PS3.
6. The game save is now transferred successfully and
you can now play that game save!
Sidenote: You can also transfer game
saves through the use of SD cards as well and the
like. Well actually you can probably use anything as long it's in
FAT32 format.
