Why Buy A PS3?

At the moment there is console war going on right now, well actually many believe the war has ended with PS3
being the winner. In my opinion the PS3 is the winner and i'll explain why everyone that doesn't own a PS3 to get
and buy one!


Next Generation
First off the next generation games which you can play in high definition. I have to admit that the PS3's in game
graphics look amazing on HD due to the mass amount of memory that can be held on it's blu-ray discs. Now with
the best games such as Grand Theft Auto IV and Metal Gear Solid 4 you can hardly miss the opportunity.

Blu-Ray
The PS3 being a Blu-ray player is the biggest feature of the PS3 as you can watch movies in high definition. The
PS3 is the most cheap and affordable way if you plan to watch next generation content. With the PS3 being
future proof as the system can be updated with the latest firmware, you can't go wrong. What's the point in buying
an actual Blu-ray player when you have one built in! and it's also more expensive.

Multimedia Player
It's a multimedia player. Yes that's right you can view your favourite photos, play your favourite music and even
watch your favourite dvd's. With the photos you can do any common tasks such as set them as backgrounds and
even watch them as a slideshow! The PS3 also has an in-built web browser and therefore you can go on your
favourite websites such as YouTube and Gamefaqs! You can even view your email as well if you wish to do so.
As a new feature you can change your PS3 look and feel with themes. You can either download them or even
make them yourself which is cool.

Playstation Store
The Playstation Store, which you can connect to if you have the PS3 connected to the internet is a good place if
you want to download the latest trailers for games and Blu-ray movies. You can also download wallpapers, themes
and even add-on packs for your PS3 games! The other feature i like with the Playstation Store is being able to
download those PSone classics such as Rayman and Medievil! Sony also releases exclusive PS3 games in the
store as well. The store is updated every thursday with the latest content.

Remote Play
If you own a psp then you can basically control your PS3 through this system. With the remote play feature you can
view and play your photos and music that's stored on your PS3 system on your PSP which is a good feature. You
can even do this when your on holiday as well!

Add-On Hardware Which You Can Purchase

Sony Bluetooth BD Remote
This beauty is Bluetooth as well as the sixaxis controller which means you can control your PS3 through a remote.
Designed for Blu-ray films as an easy way of controlling your Blu-ray films but can be used to control anything else
such as your music, photos and even web browsing. It also has a function which can switch your PS3 off as well.

Bluetooth Keyboard
You can connect if you want to a bluetooth keyboard which will probably make it easier for web browsing and talking
to your online friends. As sony hasn't released a bluetooth keyboard i would recommend buying Logitech's DiNovo
keyboard but will set you back a bit in terms of cost.

Bluetooth Headset
In games such as Call Of Duty 4 and Grand Theft Auto IV you may want to talk to your friends as well as play with
them online. You can do this with a Bluetooth headset, this is modern gaming at its best!



New features coming soon

Play TV - Add On
PlayTV is on the horizon which means you will be able to use the PS3 as a TV!  PlayTV will be out between July and
August which means you will soon be able to watch your favourite Freeview channels such as the BBC and ITV or
even your favourite music channel! The PlayTV system will take advantage of your PS3's hard drive if you wanted to
record TV which is a good idea. Like many other freeview set top boxes you can set PlayTV to set recording TV at
certain times as well. Word says that PlayTV can also play and record TV in HD as well! If you own a PSP you can
watch TV on your PSP through the PS3's remote play feature if you wanted to.

Why also you must buy a PS3

Exclusive games such as Final Fantasy XIII and Metal Gear Solid 4 will only be made for the PS3 which is a must
buy if you are interested in these games.

Some downloaded contented from the Playstation Store can be transferred to the PSP which means you can relive
your classic playstation one games on your PSP.
